This colorful vegetable, grown in La Prima’s own organic garden, is Swiss chard. It has brightened up our garden and our kitchens, with a “rainbow” variety of colors. Yellows, pinks, reds and purples paint the roots and stalks of the plants, but the dark green leaves are the real source of the magic. Commonly used in Mediteranian recipies, chard leaves are tender, flavorful, and most of all, healthy.

Since chard is one of the most nutritious vegetables out there, we’re excited to share it in our dishes. It is a great source of vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and protein. Adding this fresh, locally grown vegetable to our meals is just another part of our commitment to healthy, sustainable foods for everyone to enjoy.
