Gala at Visarts Rockville
This week, Catering by Seasons was pleased to work with Visarts Rockville for their fabulous Gala, honoring Bob Buchanan for years of generous support in the arts community. This one-of-a-kind, art-themed event provided us with an innovative way to display our foods.
The artists’ studios made the perfect backdrop for passed and stationary hors d’oeuvre from Catering by Seasons. In the ballroom, shimmering blue linens and brown velvet accents made for a playful, yet elegant event.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with passed hors d’oeuvre and encouraged to explore the gallery, speaking with featured artists about their works.
Everyone loved the seasonal cranberry and butternut squash bruschetta and shots of lobster bisque.
The Antipasto Display, featuring roasted vegetables, fresh mozzarella cheese, and seasoned olives was nestled among the artists’ studios as well.
Sesame crusted seared tuna atop seaweed salad was another exotic hit of the evening!
Our colorful short rib tacos were described as “almost too beautiful to eat,” and our winter fig tart with goat cheese was a sweet treat before dinner.
The first course featured an art-inspired Beet Carpaccio Salad with micorgreens and an agave cilantro vinaigrette.
A few months ago, you may have seen our inspiration for these “picture frame” cookies on Facebook. For this event, each guest was given a blank cookie to decorate with candy paints and pens. Every single one was unique and they served as the perfect parting gift.
To top it all off our french macaroons were served atop painters palettes, with a spread of colorful flavors.
And voila! A work of art by Catering by Seasons.
