GET TO KNOW EXECUTIVE CHEF SCOTT
With a culinary journey that started at just 15, Chef Scott has cooked up a storm from coast to coast, turning every dish into a masterpiece. From the moment he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Scott has been delighting discerning guests with his culinary passion and skill.
He has traveled from California to Florida, soaking up knowledge and flavors from various culinary legends along the way. His career has taken him from Sous Chef in Pennsylvania to the role of Chef de Cuisine at our Philadelphia location. He soon moved on to Maryland to lead our Columbia kitchen. Today, Chef Scott holds the coveted position of Executive Chef for La Prima Food Group, crafting unforgettable dining experiences across our vast client base.
When it comes to cooking, Chef Scott is all about seasonal magic, though if he had to choose a favorite, it’s risotto. This creamy, flavorful dish is a testament to his technical prowess and creativity. Whether it’s a savory mushroom risotto or a zesty lemon version, Chef Scott knows how to elevate this classic to new heights.
But don’t let his great smile and friendly face fool you—Chef Scott is exacting in the kitchen and has his pet peeves too. Ever seen someone butcher a knife technique? It’s a surefire way to get on his bad side. A sharp knife is a happy chef’s best friend, after all. If you want to cook alongside Scott, your knife skills and technique need to be top notch.
If Chef Scott ever opened his own restaurant, it would be called “Imagination.” Picture this: American Continental dishes with a twist of Italian and Asian flair—pure culinary creativity at its finest.
And at home? The culinary fun continues for Chef Scott and his wife, Sue. During the week, whoever gets home first is the designated chef, while weekends are a team effort: lunch is made by Sue, and Chef Scott whips up a delightful dinner. And here’s the golden rule—whoever cooks, doesn’t clean!
Be sure to check out our new Chef’s Corner on our blog where you can learn more about Chef Scott and our culinary team. They will share culinary from our kitchen, tips and techniques to up your cooking game, as well as great recipes, and more.
So, the next time you enjoy a meal from La Prima, know that every dish is crafted with passion, skill, a keen eye for the best seasonal and sustainable menu options, and a touch of Chef Scott’s unique flair. Bon appétit! 🍽️✨

Everything about working with Catering by Seasons, from the planning, communication, to the execution was phenomenal!
I can’t say enough great things about our entire experience planning our daughter's Bat Mitzvah with Glynis Keith, Catering Manager, with Catering by Seasons.
Catering By Seasons exceeded my expectation. I used them for a brunch at my house after my son’s bar mitzvah. The level of professionalism along with their responsiveness made me feel at ease right away.
